Determining whether a film is a sequel or a prequel is not as clear as one might think. Some of the films listed below, such as Three Colors: Red (1994) and Dogma (1999), can be called sequels only in the loosest sense. Furthermore, some can make a case that films like The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and Pulp Fiction (1994) are sequels. Unless otherwise indicated, the original film(s) are on the Master List and rank higher than the sequel.
