The directors of all films on the master list are linked below, along with lists of the films that they directed. The Internet Movie Database is the ultimate arbitor as to who is the credited director. Uncredited directors are not included unless the only director listed is uncredited. Also excluded are people with a title like "co-director" or "assistant director" or any other title suggesting that they were less than a full director.

Using the same methodology as was used to create the master lists, directors are ranked based on the dubious assumption that the director is solely responsible for the quality of a film. When two or more directors shared credit for a film, the points for that film are split evenly among all credited directors. Films not on the master list contributed to these rankings.
